Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV)

A PRV is a critical component of a high-rise tower's mechanical and plumbing systems.
A pumped water supply system employs a booster set that supplies water at a sufficient pressure to meet the demand for the upper zone, while pressure-regulating valves (PRVs) regulate the supply pressure for the lower zone. An alternative is to use a tank as the source, controlling the lower zone pressure with a PRV. I described two possibilities above, other options may also be available, but the primary objective is to maintain pressure within a workable range to ensure safety and compliance with the code.
